Introduction to BITS & SIREN 2009
In recognition of the importance of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental concerns to the Building Industry, BITS changed its acronym last year to include "Safety and Technology". The huge amount of interest that was evident at the Show has resulted in the birth of an HSSE Show in its own right this year. Thus "BITS" - the Building & Interiors Show, is being held in conjunction with "SIREN" - the HSSE Show, under the same roof, at the same time. ...
A special committee has been assembled to organize workshops, seminars and competitions at BITS & SIREN 2009 with the help of the Trinidad & Tobago Institute of Architects (TTIA), the Occupational Safety & Health Authority/Agency (OSHA), the South Trinidad Chamber of Industry & Commerce (STCIC) and the American Chamber of Industry & Commerce (AMCHAM), so there will be much to see and learn over its four-day duration.
Already partnered in the main by Scotiabank and the OSHA Agency, BITS & SIREN 2009 is being assisted in its promotional efforts by Caribbean Construction Digest and Caribbean Construction Magazine, the CL Communications Group, Newsday, Lisa Communications and Ace Printery. More booths, more seminars, more involvement from everyone - BITS & SIREN 2009 promises to be THE place to be between Thursday 8th and Sunday 11th October!
